20 week check up

Well, my 20 week check up happened at 18 weeks 6 days. The baby is measuring at 19 weeks 4 days (or at least that is what the measurements were a week ago) and all seems to be going well.

The anatomy sonogram took about 45 minutes and then my ob appointment went much faster.

The results of the gender examination shows that we are going to have a BOY!!!!

We are so excited about the arrival of our newest addition. They have said that my due date will probably be moved up to April 17th which is just 4 days earlier than what I was originally told.

We go back later this month for another sonogram and my 24 month check up.

Here are some great pictures of Loryn from November. These include the USF game, school carnival and thanksgiving.

Trip to Pittsburgh

At the end of October, we took a trip to Pittsburgh to visit family and go to a wedding. Our trip was certainly an adventure as it was the first time we have been on a plane with Loryn. It wasn't the smoothest trip ever, but I know it could have definitely been worse. We had terrible luck with flights on both legs of the trip. Our flight to Pittsburgh was delayed due to a connection that was running late. The flight was delayed over an hour, which meant we were at the airport for about 3 hours, and then got into Pittsburgh at 11pm. Our flight home was delayed 3 hours, which meant that I couldn't do laundry or grocery shop for the week before I had to send Loryn back to her babysitters. Luckily I still had a little bit of food in the house.

On our trip, we made several trips to Squirrel Hill, went to the Monroeville Mall to get Eric a shirt, Men's Warehouse to get Eric a belt, Target to get Loryn a sweatshirt and sweatpants, and the grocery store for some food items. Besides those generic errands, we had so much fun spending time with my family. My cousins came in from Ohio and DC, my Aunt and Uncle came in from Ohio, and of course my other Aunt and Uncle were already located in Pittsburgh.

Here are some fun pictures from our trip:

Loryn has never seen the leaves change colors. She had so much fun playing in the leaves

It was a bit chilly the first day we were there.

Mineo's pizza for lunch

Loryn Loves pizza

Loryn was goofing off in Aunt Barbara's car. The 2nd day was the coldest day of our entire trip. It moved back up to the 70's the next day. Here we are getting our rental car.
One of Eric's favorite meals of our trip. He really enjoyed his Primanti's sandwich.
Loryn and Eric outside of Primanti's. We were told we had to come here for lunch. And we were happy we did. It was very good, and probably had several thousand calories in each plate.

Loryn and Violet playing during the dinner party that Aunt Barbara had for us. There were 16 people at her house. Loryn loved playing with Violet while we were there.

Loryn found mommy's sunglasses in the hotel room

The view from the LeMont. It was beautiful.
Heinz Chapel. It was absolutely beautiful from the inside.

Smallman's for brunch before everyone went home. We also went to Pamela's the day before (which was awesome) but forgot to take a picture
Almost everyone was in the picture. Aunt Barbara was at a different table with Ronnie's cousins Jack and Marshall. And Uncle Rick is half hidden in the back of this picture.

16 Week Check up

Yesterday was my 16 week check up. Everything is going well.

The baby is very active and the heart rate is around the 150's. We find out the gender at the end of the month.

The doctor told me I need to watch the amount of stress in my life, and hopefully the sickness that I am still experiencing will ease up.

Pictures to come with the sonogram at the end of the month...

Loryn's 2nd Birthday

Here are some of our favorite pictures from Loryn's 2nd birthday party. She had so much fun. I was so surprised that she lasted 4 hours. Loryn loved playing with all of her friends and spending the afternoon at the park with good friends and family.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Happy Birthday lunch at Chili's. Lots and lots of cake and ice cream this weekend.

Loryn now needs cabinets for her kitchen to store all the pots, pans, and groceries

Loryn picked out her own cake this year.

Lots and lots of presents from all of Loryn's friends and family

This picture was taken at dinner. For Loryn's birthday they put her on a saddle and gave her an ice cream sundae.

Party of 4...

It is official, Eric, Loryn and I are expecting a new addition to our family. We are very excited to turn our family of 3 into a family of 4.

This past week, we decided to tell Loryn she is going to be a big sister. She is very very excited as you can see by her pictures.

Below is the first sonogram picture taken of baby #2. 7 weeks 5 days. The due date is April 21, 2011. The baby is currently measuring a day ahead. We will see how it goes as time goes on.
So far at just shy of 8 weeks, my weight gain is -1 pound.
