Our new car

Really this isn't all that new. We bought the car for Loryn a year and a half ago and have finally gotten around to putting it together for her. She was so surprised and excited when she woke up to find her new car.

Ethan came outside to see Loryn's new car too.

Trip to the Beach for Lisa's birthday

For Lisa's birthday this year, we went to the beach. This was Ethan's first trip to the beach and the first time Loryn has been in over a year. We left Loryn for an over night adventure with Grandma Lisa and Grandpa Marshall.

Ethan at 11 weeks

Sorry I have been so delinquent in keeping everyone updated with pictures and stories. Things have been really hectic since I went back to work right before Memorial Day weekend. I have been working between 45 and 50 hours the last 3 weeks. This schedule will probably continue through to August. I am hoping that once I am back into the office full time in September that things will ease up just a little bit.

Ethan has been sick since before Memorial Day. The weekend before, he ended up in the Emergency just 2 days after going in for his first sick visit. He was running his first fever and just sounded very congested. He then was in and out of the doctor's office for about 2 weeks when he went back into the emergency room for a high fever. They thought he might have pyloric stenosis because he had started to projectile vomit for several days. After his ultrasound that was ruled out (thankfully) and all his xrays were fine. We were told after the 2nd ER visit that they thought he may have the beginnings of pneumonia, but our pediatrician ruled that out. A week after, we were able to finally have a well visit. Ethan received all of his shots and was still a bit wheezy, but on the mend.

Later that same afternoon, Ethan started to have gunk in his left eye. By the time I picked Loryn up from daycare, his eye was sealed shut. So we had another sick visit to the doctor the next day. Ethan was put on eye drops and his eyes cleared up within 3 days. We finished his eye drop treatments this past Tuesday.

At 5:45 this morning when I went to get Ethan for his morning feeding and his right eye was again all goopy. I decided at 7am, that I was going to take both Ethan and Loryn to see the doctor since Loryn has also been congested for the last 2 weeks.

At the pediatrician's office, they weighed and measured Loryn. She now weighs 27 pounds and 35.5 inches. Loryn was diagnosed with a sinus infection and has been put on antibiotics. She was such a good girl she was given a sticker and a lollipop. She had to wait another hour until we could leave after Ethan's appointment, so she ended up with another 2 lollipops, another sicker and pens and paper to draw us all pictures.

Ethan's appointment was a bit different. His lungs weren't clear. He was wheezing quite a bit, his eye was disgusting and it looks like he also has a sinus infection. They gave us a different prescription for his eyes, and an antibiotic. They then put him on a nebulizer. After his treatment they checked his oxygen levels. He was at 93% saturation after the treatment. They decided to keep him on the nebulizer through the weekend. He is on 4 treatments a day and will go back to see his pediatrician on Monday morning. We are uncertain if we will have to invest in getting a nebulizer, we will find out on Monday if this is something we will end up needing for Ethan on a regular basis.

I will update on Monday after Ethan's dr appointment.
