37 weeks

Well, I am almost at 37 weeks and definitely ready for this baby to get here. (24 days left til due date)

Not too much to report after the appointment this morning. I have been given the approval of my OB to start trying all the natural ways to induce labor. I am now 50% effaced, but not dilated at all. Measuring on time and hopefully by next week this little guy will have decided to "drop".

Maybe with a little encouragement, this little guy will want to make an appearance for his daddy's birthday.

36 weeks

Are we there yet???

Today was my 36 week appointment. I am now at the doctor every week. So far, I am not dilated at all and the baby hasn't dropped. Despite his current position of sitting on top of my bladder, nothing new has really been going on. The OB today said that she thinks he is still head down, but wasn't 100% sure. He was sitting very high, and so it is possible that somehow he flipped to be head up and not head down. They will check again at my visit next week.

Besides that, everything is going well. Measuring on time. Next week, if they can't figure out if he is head up or head down, I may have a sonogram to check on how he is doing and how big they think he is measuring. I am kinda hoping for a sonogram, as I haven't had one since I was 23/24 weeks pregnant.

27th Birthday

Eric took me to Fresh Harvest for a champagne brunch for my birthday. I couldn't actually partake in the champage part. But thoroughly enjoyed the food and the company. Afterward we played cards for a little bit. Sadly we didn't win any money, but I had fun gambling with my husband. Maybe next time we go out there, we will win money.

My Nephew's 1st Birthday Party

This weekend we celebrated my nephew Gabriel's 1st birthday. The party was very nice. Gabriel loves Sesame Street, so they did an Elmo themed party. For the party, they rented a club house next to a park. I think Loryn was the only one that actually went to the park to play. She went out there several times with Grandpa Marshall to go and play on the swings and the slide. Inside the kids had fun playing in a ball pit, running around, eating and a few kids colored. Eric and I enjoyed spending time with our friends and just being able to relax.
Loryn and Grandpa Marshall getting ready to go play outside. After playing on the playground, Loryn got into my car and dumped a ton of sand onto the floor from her shoes. :(

Gabriel's birthday cake for all of the guests. Since he is allergic to so many things, he had a special cake that he got to smash.

Gabriel enjoyed sticking his hand in his cake and not eating it.
The proud parents and the birthday boy!

Loryn found a new friend in Karen's mom. Loryn wanted to sing songs and spend time with Karen's mom. So they were singing "5 little monkeys jumping on the bed"

The Gangler's come for a visit

Today, Loryn's god mother Lindsey stopped by Tampa for lunch. This is the first time that Loryn got a chance to meet Lindsey's husband Steve and their new little boy Alex. Loryn was so excited to meet baby Alex.

We stopped for breakfast/lunch at Cracker Barrel with the Gangler Family as they were on their way back to Jacksonville. This was their last stop on their move back down to Florida after living in Annapolis and Rhode Island for the last 4 years. We are so happy they are back within driving distance of them (at least for the next 18 months).

Hopefully once they are all set up in Jacksonville, we will be able to go up for a visit and bring Loryn out to the naval base to see where her Uncle Steve works.

Here are some pictures from lunch:
Loryn petting Angel. She thought it was so funny when the dogs would lick her hand
Loryn and Aunt Lindsey.
Loryn and Alex hanging out in the rocking chairs. Loryn has now asked for a rocking chair.
Eric got to hold Alex. I never did :( Hopefully next visit, I will get to hold him.

Loryn and her friends

Here is a video Eric took of Loryn and her 2 friends after dinner. We had so much fun watching them just laugh and play together.

Class Photo

This is Loryn's class picture.

Sorry it is a bit blurry as I took it on my cell phone. I haven't decided yet if we are going to purchase it, as they constantly doing pictures. Sadly, I didn't know they were doing class pictures until I dropped Loryn off that morning. I would have definitely done her hair cuter than her normal (leaving it down).

This actually is a pretty small turnout for her class. There are about 17 kids in her class right now, with 3 that have just turned 3 years old. Loryn's primary teacher is the one on the right. The lady on the left has just started with Loryn's class and is there mainly in the afternoons when I come to pick up Loryn.

34 weeks and growing

So today was my 34 week appointment. It was several days later than I have been going in for my appointments because they had to cancel my originally scheduled appointment. I am thankful that on some days I can go in at 7:30am and not be too late to work.

Total weight gain: 26 pounds and so not happy about it. At least since my last visit almost 3 weeks ago, I haven't gained any weight. My blood pressure may have been on the low side, but the doctor didn't say anything about it. Low blood pressure is a nice change, as I swear there are definitely days, where my blood pressure is elevated. I am measuring on time and really seem to be doing well.

As of this morning, Ethan was head down. Which is good. And he probably will not move from this position. Which means, if everything goes well, I shouldn't have to have a c-section. As of now, he has not "dropped". In fact, it feels like he keeps trying to scoot up under my ribs. He definitely keeps trying to stretch out, which is quite uncomfortable.

I did express my concern over the contractions. But since I am not having more than 5 in any given hour, there is no need to be concerned. I just need to keep doing what I have been doing and put my feet up/ lay down and drink extra water. At my next visit, they will check to see if I have dilated at all.

So statistics at this point:
Average size of the baby at this point: 17.2-18.7 in, 4.2-5.8 lb

Do the Potty Dance...

This past weekend, we hosted a Huggies Potty Dance Party for Loryn and her friends. It was a small turnout, but the kids had a lot of fun. Per Loryn's request, I think the potty dance video played about 10-15 times. I think I know it by heart now. The kids enjoyed goldfish and juice boxes and had fun coloring and dancing. I was able to give away lots of coupons, and dvds and still have plenty to give out.

Here are a few pictures from the day. Seriously can't believe how big my little girl is getting.
