A Wild Ride

First of all, I would like to welcome you to our family blog. I hope to be able to keep you informed about all that is happening to our new little family, and this seems easier than my usual update emails.
On October 1st, at 10:30 pm, we started the induction process. Eric and I spent the night in Labor and Delivery. At 6:30 am, I was started on pitocin and at 2 pm I was fully dilated. At 2:30pm, we started the delivery process and Loryn Skylar arrived at 3:44 pm. She weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces, and 20 inches long. She looks like her mommy except for her eyes, ears, complexion and hair. We stayed in our first mom/baby room Thursday night, and on Friday night we switched rooms (because the toilet didn't work). Our new room was the "executive suite". It was twice as big, and had two beds. Eric was in heaven that he was able to have his own bed.
We were able to leave on Sunday around 11:40 am. Loryn fell asleep before we could change her, and stayed asleep until about an hour after we had come home. Loryn has enjoyed being home (we think). She had several visitors on her first afternoon home.
